STILL / MOTION - an exhibition of Contemporary Photography @TownSq Kingston inspired by the work of Kingston’s famous photographic pioneer Eadweard Muybridge, forefather of the moving image.
From the archive of Eamonn McCabe, celebrated photographer and Guardian picture editor, to a collection of works by Kingston School of Art MA Photography students showing alongside a new series of experimental images by Paul Mowatt, former artist in resident at the Kingston Museum and Muybridge researcher, developed in collaboration with principle ballet dancers.
